Aaron has overcome years of roadblocks and failures so he leads vulnerably with his scars first, he’s been a youth mentor for over eight years and comes from the music industry so he has a knack for storytelling and connecting with students past the surface. His presentations and assemblies challenge students to be more because they’re made for more. Leaving them inspired and ready to break free from any negative cycle stopping them from having a brighter future.
We’re living in a day and age where young people are struggling mentally and suffering in silence, people are feeling hopeless and discouraged every day they wake up. That’s why Aaron strives to empower each student to harness the power of their pain, transform it into purpose, and thereby create a brighter and better future for themselves and the community.
Aaron has been talking his entire life so it’s only right that he became a motivational speaker. Currently resides in Georgia but being born and raised in Massachusetts shaped the man he is today. During middle school Aaron was smart and loved learning but realized getting good grades was frowned upon so he began dimming his light to fit in with the crowd. High school was the beginning of the downward spiral for Aaron. A star on the football team, in love with hip-hop culture, popular, invited to all the cool kid parties. From the outside looking in he had it made, but on the inside, he was insecure and dying for the love and acceptance of all his peers.
Aaron started abusing drugs and alcohol, finding himself getting into more and more risky behavior and selling drugs to make money. He was masking his pain and running from himself and his calling. Lashing out at his parents, getting brought home by the police, and getting into street fights because he was so filled up with anger. His mother’s sweet angel had turned into a monster. Close calls and near-death experiences scared Aaron to the point that he decided to get sober and take control of his life. He moved to Atlanta in January of 2016 and never looked back.
Aaron created a brand called “Break The Cycle” that empowers individuals to break free from the mindsets and invisible chains that are stopping them from growing. Aaron’s life mission is to prevent students from going down the wrong road because they don’t know how to deal with their trauma. Every building he walks into if he can just reach one student and shift their perspective then it is worth the trip. Aaron is the champion for the underdogs, it doesn’t matter how many mistakes you’ve made you can always bounce back and reach your dreams. He’s built his life around working with youth all over the globe and interrupting the school-to-prison pipeline.
To help the next generation navigate their emotions and push towards their dreams. Showing students how to harness the power of their story, and break the cycles in their lives so they can transform their pain it into purpose.
